Non-Automated QC

This document describes the quality control measures that are not 
automatically run but are instead performed by CDIP staffers.


Visual inspections
------------------

The compendium values (Hs, Tp, Ta) and heat maps of full-spectrum 
energy density are visually inspected at the end of each of month 
when the monthly reprocessing finishes. Wherever their are outlying 
or otherwise suspicious parameter values or unusual energy 
distributions, the corrsponding spectral files and plots are
viewed. Any problematic data is flagged bad and removed from CDIP's
standard products.
